Hello and welcome to our website Manners 'n' More.

Firstly allow me to introduce myself and how Manners 'n' More came to be and what we have in store for you!

My name is Colleen and I began my journey with dogs over 8 years ago with a little rottie girl called Shae. Living in country QLD at the time in a remote area Shae became my constant companion, best friend and the most well mannered girl you could ask for. I returned home to Perth 4 years ago but without my beloved girl, so began the search for another dog. After 6 months I found her and yes it was another rottie. Although I looked into many other breeds something kept bringing me back to this noble and versatile dog.

I purchased 'Chica' from a reputable Perth breeder (and now great friend who I owe many thanks) and if words like, separation anxiety, chewing, barking at dogs and a multitude of other things are words that you can relate to, then you know what I'm talking about. I did not know how to fix these problems and I even returned Chica to her breeder on 3 occasions and each time getting her back as I knew I had purchased her as a life long commitment and there simply had to be a better way. And there was!

I learnt how to become a positive reinforcement dog trainer!

3 years on I am a Industry Accredited Dog Trainer, I assist to mentor trainers through their accreditation and Chica is a lovable well adjusted addition to our family.

Now to the next part of my journey -  my own group training classes, 1 on 1 personal training and 2012 will see me begin my Certificate IV in Animal Companion Studies & Behaviour.

The Manners 'n' More website has 2 areas, one for training, which has all sorts of advice, training videos, downloadable articles and more, the other is the 'dogporium' This is a small store that is filled with quality and essential items which all at some stage of my dogs lives I have used. Having rotties, it is important and cost effective to have toys that last.

Throughout the website you will be introduced to our product research assistant who has personally tested these products for durability, taste and fun in mind. He has a PHD in product testing and has often gone above and beyond the call of duty by testing poly pipe, swimming pools, buckets, crates, the washing and many forms of plant life! His name is Boss (not to be confused with the Boss, me!) he is my 4th rottie and only 18 months old.
